Cera Products helps animals following the Katrina Disasters.

Cera Products donated thousands of liters of CeraVet rehydration drink to the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) in support of animal rescue efforts in Louisiana and Mississippi following hurricane Katrina and Rita. CeraVet is an oral hydration drink for animals. It's a safe rice-based formula that rapidly replaces and corrects water and electrolytes lost in illness, exercise or from heat.

Hurricane Katrina hit the gulf coast with 175 mph wind and gushing rain. The storm resulted in a natural disaster for the gulf coast region with Louisiana and Mississippi hardest hit. The human toll is well documented but animals were also affected by sickness, injury, and thousands were left behind in the aftermath of the storm.
Since Katrina hit, 8000 dogs, cats, horses, livestock and other animals have been rescued. The majority of the animals have been sheltered in temporary facilities across the country until they can be reunited with their owners or new families found for them. Problem still exist six months after the disaster.

A change in diet or new food can bring on diarrhea or fluid imbalance to animals.
