Cera Products Hires New Sales and Marketing Associate

Baltimore, MD (December 6, 2004)--Cera Products Inc., a Columbia, Maryland based biotechnology company that produces sports drinks and oral rehydration products announces that Timothy Lenehan of Towson, Maryland, has joined the Company in Marketing and Sales.

Lenehan will be responsible for expanding distribution of Cera’s patented oral rehydration products, focusing first on the company’s animal line and its sports product known as CeraSport, in both the U.S. and international markets.

CeraSport is the only rice-based electrolyte drink on the market for exercise and heat stress. Developed along with Johns Hopkins physicians, the Company has created a superior alternative to sugar-based oral rehydration drinks. Cera’s long-chain carbohydrate-based drinks promote salt and water absorption faster than simple glucose (shown in clinical tests). CeraSports drink enables maximized sweat replacement and replaces lost carbohydrates for extended energy, without the usual GI discomfort that results from sugar-based sports drinks.
Cera’s animal line helps prevent and correct dehydration in small animals and the company is exploring markets for large animal use.

Prior to joining Cera Products Inc., Lenehan worked in fundraising for St John’s College in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He also worked in Rotterdam, the Netherlands with Economic Growth Strategies, B.V. and with Maryland’s Department of Business and Economic Development as an intern on the Biosciences Team.

Lenehan holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Towson University and is currently working on a Master of Arts degree at St. Johns College in Annapolis, Maryland.
